ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Amy McMillan & I use mindfulness-based approaches to guide you to rediscover your natural ease & vitality.
Based in Guildford, Surrey & online, I support mental, physical, & emotional wellbeing through an integrative body–mind approach. My work focuses on cultivating self-compassion & reconnecting with your body’s natural intelligence.

My Approach
I have a down-to-earth, wholehearted approach to supporting my community. With over fourteen years of teaching experience and more than 1,000 hours of training in mind-body practices, I bring skill and compassion to my work.
I’m trained in mindfulness, yoga, transpersonal coaching and counselling. I create authentic, supportive spaces where you can feel safe to be yourself — drawing on deep listening, mindful self-compassion, and the wisdom of embodied movement. My approach is trauma-sensitive, neurodivergent-affirming, and rooted in the body’s natural capacity to heal and return to balance.
I'm an eternal student and I continue to deepen my own practice, which informs my teaching. I follow high ethical mindfulness and coaching standards, maintain a daily practice, and take part in regular retreats and workshops.
My Story
Beyond my training, my lived experience is what really enables me to support you deeply. I have a busy mind and a sensitive heart - I know what it's like to suffer from stress, anxiety and overwhelm. I turned to mindfulness and yoga as a lifeline about 16 years ago, while navigating the loss of my mum and the challenges of being a primary teacher. These transformative practices have been my anchor through life's various challenges, including relocating across the world and becoming a parent. My daily practice continues to offer vital support and deepening insights.
My own journey involves exploring healing and growth through modalities like psychotherapy, somatic work, parts work (IFS) and transpersonal approaches. I have a particular interest in the intersection of trauma and neurodivergence.
I have a passion for relational mindfulness — reconnecting with ourselves, others, and the living world. I'm aware of the severity of the climate crisis and related crises, and I'm an (imperfect!) advocate for collective change in these challenging times.
My influences include: Tara Brach, Deborah Eden Tull, Joanna Macy, Loch Kelly, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, Kristen Neff, Lucy Grace, Jeannie Zandi and more....
I hope to meet you soon!
