"Before starting your class I thought yoga wasn’t for me because I was far from a flexible person, but your approach & your kindness made me change my mind.  I have enjoyed these years of classes very much, especially your calming voice."

Beatrice, Guildford

My yoga classes are deeply relaxing, mindful & breath-focused. They create space & strength in body & mind, supporting the nervous system & enabling us to reconnect with our natural sense of peace. They are ideal for stress relief & boosting resilience in these uncertain times.  Beginners are welcome, as well as anyone hoping to deepen their practice. You do not have to be slim, fit, flexible or strong to join a class.  All body types, ethnicities, religions & genders are welcome.

My mindfulness group is a supportive space to explore the benefits of mindfulness meditation.  We also explore embodied resilience practices which enable us to return to our natural sense of safety, balance & ease.  You can sit or lie down & move if you need to.  There are opportunities for reflection within the group as this is a good way to deepen your practice & to share our experience.  This is optional though - there is no pressure to contribute, you can just sit back & listen.

What to Expect at Yoga

We combine simple flowing sequences with staying in postures to explore more deeply.  There is an emphasis on mindful awareness of breath & body.  We finish with a calming guided relaxation.  Classes are kept fairly small to ensure that care can be given to the individual student.

Modern yoga is sometimes taught as just an exercise class, or a way of bypassing and avoiding difficult thoughts & feelings. The mindful focus of my classes encourages us to be open to all aspects of life with kindness & curiosity, rather than searching to fix or distract ourselves.

People with pre-existing health conditions should contact their doctor prior to joining a class.

Online Yoga
Online classes may be more convenient for you as they save travel time.  They enable you to practice in the comfort of your own home, while still ensuring that you receive individual support & guidance & maintaining a community feel.  All you need is a good internet connection & a quiet space to practice.  You will be sent Zoom instructions when you register - it is very easy to use.

"I am absolutely loving the online yoga. Not only because it keeps my yoga practice going but because it creates some invaluable time & space just for me which I really look forward to.  Thank you so much, you're a wonderful teacher guiding us through this difficult time."
