"Amy has such a soothing voice and a compassionate manner that you instantly feel welcome and comfortable."

Sophie, Guildford

My yoga classes are deeply relaxing, mindful & breath-focused. They create space & strength in body & mind, balancing the nervous system & enabling us to reconnect with our natural sense of peace. They are ideal for stress relief & boosting resilience.  You do not have to be slim, fit, flexible or strong to join a class.  Beginners are welcome, as well as anyone hoping to deepen their practice.

Yoga Classes - What to Expect

We combine simple flowing sequences & static postures, with an emphasis on mindful awareness of breath & body.  We finish with a calming guided relaxation. Classes are kept fairly small to ensure that care can be given to the individual student.

Modern yoga is sometimes taught as just an exercise class, or a way of bypassing and avoiding difficult thoughts & feelings. The mindfulness element in my classes encourages us to be open to all aspects of life with kindness & curiosity, rather than searching to fix or distract ourselves.

People with pre-existing health conditions should contact their doctor prior to joining a class.

Online Yoga

Online classes may be more convenient for you as they save travel time.  They enable you to practice in the comfort of your own home, while still ensuring that you receive individual support & guidance & maintaining a community feel.  All you need is a good internet connection & a quiet space to practice.  You will be sent Zoom instructions when you register - it is very easy to use.

Mindfulness Group - What to Expect

An opportunity to deepen your mindfulness practice within a supportive group.  You will be guided through gentle mindfulness meditations & there will be opportunities to reflect & share our experience (there is no pressure to contribute, you may simply prefer to listen).

The group is suitable for those with a bit of mindfulness experience - ideally you will have attended a course or workshops, although an understanding of the basics through books or apps is a good start.

Important: If you are experiencing intense emotional distress or have a history of mental health issues, please check with your care provider whether mindfulness is suitable for you at this time or contact me for a confidential chat.

"I am absolutely loving the online yoga. Not only because it keeps my yoga practice going but because it creates some invaluable time & space just for me which I really look forward to.  Thank you so much, you're a wonderful teacher guiding us through this difficult time."
