Mindful Yoga Classes

My yoga classes are deeply relaxing, mindful & breath-focused. They create space & strength in body & mind, supporting the nervous system & enabling us to reconnect with our natural sense of ease. They are ideal for stress relief & boosting resilience in these uncertain times. Befriending body & mind is central. Beginners are welcome, as well as anyone hoping to deepen their practice. You do not have to be slim, fit, flexible or strong to join a class. All body types, ethnicities, religions & genders are welcome.

Mindfulness Classes

I create supportive spaces to explore the benefits of mindfulness meditation. We also explore embodied resilience practices which support the nervous system & enable us to return to our natural sense of safety, balance & ease. There are opportunities for reflection within the group as this is a good way to deepen your practice & to share our experience. This is optional though - there is no pressure to contribute. You can sit or lie down & move if you need to.

My Monday group is online & I also hope to start a monthly community group in Guildford shortly - please email me if you're interested in coming along.

What to expect at Yoga

We combine simple flowing sequences & exploring postures more deeply. There is an emphasis on mindful awareness of breath & body. We finish with a calming guided relaxation. Classes are kept fairly small to ensure that care can be given to the individual student.

My years of experience as a mindfulness teacher enable me to bring a deeply mindful & embodied approach to my classes. Mindfulness encourages us to be open to all aspects of life with kindness & curiosity, rather than searching to fix or distract ourselves.

You do not have to be slim, fit, flexible or strong to join a class. All body types, ethnicities, religions & genders are welcome. (People with pre-existing health conditions that limit movement should contact their doctor prior to joining a class).

Online Classes

Online classes may be more convenient for you as they save travel time. They enable you to practice in the comfort of your own home, while still ensuring that you receive individual support & guidance & maintaining a community feel. All you need is a good internet connection & a quiet space to practice. You will be sent Zoom instructions when you register - it's very easy to use.

"Thanks so much for the last 10 years. You have made a positive difference to so many lives. I have fond memories of the little chapel hall where I started all those years ago. Now seeing you from my bedroom near the sea - different but still just as powerful."
