Mindfulness Courses in Primary Schools
 

I have 15 years of experience in education & am qualified through the Mindfulness in Schools Project to deliver the "Paws b" Mindfulness Curriculum to 7 - 11 year olds.  This is a series of workshops delivered over 6 (or 12) weeks.  We explore areas of the brain & how these affect our ability to focus & make good choices.  We learn to recognise how to steady ourselves when our body or mind is busy or out of balance.  We learn techniques that will support us in our day-to-day activities.  We also learn how to improve concentration, memory & behavioural self-management.

 

The feedback from children who have taken part in the course is very positive. They report enjoying the lessons & find that the learning supports them in a broad range of situations; from being able to concentrate & focus more easily in lessons to feeling calmer in exams & competitions.  Many have described sharing the learning with family members & finding that it helps them with their relationships with family & friends.

I am currently teaching this course to pupils of the Prep School at Guildford High School.

Yoga or Mindfulness Taster Sessions in Primary Schools

I combine my extensive experience in primary education with with my love of yoga & mindfulness to create fun & relaxing workshops for children.  Children can find themselves under a lot of pressure & I help them to reduce stress, improve concentration & boost self-esteem.   I have taught mindfulness workshops to children from ages 4 - 11 at Guildford High School Prep Department.  I have also taught yoga at Sandfield Primary School in Guildford.

Cancellation Policy

Any school, workplace or retreat workshops must be cancelled with at least 14 days notice or the full cost of the session will be charged.  Please contact Amy for full cancellation policy.
